Roundup, Montana is located 45 miles north of Billings. It is the county seat for Musselshell County. The town got its name for ranchers using the Musselshell River as a natural place to "round up" their cattle in the fall of each year.  Some historians say its name came from being the ending point of the Texas Trail cattle drives into Montana.  Today, Roundup is still the main hub of the county and surrounded by cowboys and cattle.

Tell the dispatcher:

  • the exact location of the emergency

  • the symptoms of the person who needs help

  • your name and the phone number from where you are calling

While waiting for the emergency crew:

  • Do not move an injured person unless necessary

  • Make sure everyone stays safe

  • Put pets in a closed room

  • Turn on the porch light

  • If possible, meet emergency crew at the front of the building
